Hi, I'm Christophe, F8FTK. I've been a licensed amateur radio operator since 2008. Although I'm not currently active on the bands, I'm doing modest experiments on the receiving side. My current interests include software radio and the digital processing of received signals. My experiments generally result in the release of open source software.
Projects (open source)
RDS Surveyor is a Java-based framework for decoding, monitoring and analyzing RDS data (data sent along with VHF-FM broadcasts). It features a comprehensive coverage of the standard, and may use various input devices: among others a sound card connected to a home-made interface or a radio device (such as a Video4Linux device).
jPOCSAG is a POCSAG paging protocol decoder written in Java. It uses the sound card input to sample the signals from a radio receiver.
Pydemod is an experimental set of Python libraries and tools for demodulating radio signals. It relies on NumPy/SciPy.
